I am here now, in Honduras. This week all of us (almost 60 North Americans) have spent together at a ministry called Zion's Gates. It's on a mountain, but only 20 minutes away from the capital, Tegucigalpa. It is run by this awesome guy, Tony, who is from the USA. Most of us are tenting it on the property and a few set up hammocks inside. We live pretty well here with food and cold shower and our little shelter; it's great. We have had a lot of down time in the past few days, and a lot of the ministry Tony is hoping to accomplish is relational. Spending time with the people here. So the kids come to the property for recess and we get to play with them, and I'll show one of the little boys the chickens and rabbits and it's awesome. We also walk around the community and talk with people at their homes or start a soccer/football game with the kids.
I'm excited. I'm excited for what God is going to do in Honduras, the team and me. I am so excited to start new relationships with the locals and continue to learn and grow with my team. God has been doing a lot in me and sometimes I don't know how to process it all. But something my team leader, Chris Easter, told me is that God will never give you more than you can handle, which is really comforting in this time of change. I'm not sure what else to write, but I just wanted to update you guys and let you know I'm doing great. It's still the honeymoon period so we're super stoked to be here, but I miss all you guys back home. Last night they told us my team along with three other teams will be going to a different ministry tomorrow for a month, so I'll keep you posted on what that will be like.
