Hey everyone. This will probably be my only blog for our time in Africa. For three weeks my team and another team have been living in Maun, Botswana. The organization is called Love Botswana and it had a church and a school in Maun. The school is a part of the property that our team lives at; it has a school side and a residential side. My team leader, Chris and I have been teaching PE at the international school, grades k-12, and it's awesome. There's kids from all over but mainly Botswana and South Africa. Chris and I also work and condition the basketball team and jr soccer team (Thanks to Colin Anderson for the years of conditioning).  The other girls in our third of the squad doing different things like teaching, gardening and organizing books and stuff.
Maun the city we live in is one of the larger areas in Botswana.  But because of the tourism it's still called a village to make it sound smaller than it is.  The Okavango delta is the largest inland delta which brings a lot of wildlife and it's about an hour from Maun.
Two days from now we will being going into the bush. First to a village one hour away called Sehitwa, then to a village 7 hours away called Xaxou (pronounced clicking noise then "cow"). Our squad was broken into thirds for each place and then each 20 days we rotate. So our group will spend 40 days in the bush; without Internet. We will be tenting it and cooking on an open fire; it will be good. So I won't be able to communicate for a while.  If you could pray for strength and unity for our team that would be great.
Thanks for reading, I'll be home in about 50 days.
